Spagg has built a Secure Car Rental Platform to control the risks of individual car rental customers. This platform is the result of research with car rental specialists, lawyers and insurance companies. The components of the platform are a series of proprietary procedures, verifications, legally binding contracts and carefully designed insurance products.
The Spagg's Secure Platform enables the creation of a peer-to-peer car rental market. You can be sure that all of the Spagg rental transactions pass the following tests and procedures:
Vehicle owner verifications:
Identity: car owners pass an identity check on databases.
Ownership: cars are registered by owners or agents with permission to rent the cars. The cars are not listed in the national "total loss" and "stolen vehicles" databases.
Vehicle safety: car owners assert that their cars pass the Spagg Network 20 point vehicle safety test .
User feedback: Spagg checks the feedbacks from past renters to make sure that the owner procedures and the car are according to our policies.
Renter checks
Identity/address: Spagg has uses proprietary databases to verify the identity of the renters. Identity and address information provided by the renters must match public records found in thousands of different databases. In addition, renters always use credit cards under the driver's name to process their transactions. This enables identity and address verification, which remain in Spagg's databases in case of any problems.
Driving history: the identified renters must answer a 5 point questionnaire on their driving history to be validated for rental. Any potential problems are communicated to car owners prior to scheduling the rental appointments.
Insurance: all Spagg Network rentals are insured for property and third party liability. Spagg verifies that the insurance policy provided by the renters covers the rental. If the renter cannot provide insurance that covers the rental, Spagg will offer its own coverage.
Driver license: Driver licenses are checked for validity at the moment of rental. A copy of the driver license will remain with the owner throughout the duration of the rental.
The Spagg Network Rental contract clauses:
Renter and owner are held liable for their commercial actions.
Renter is liable for their driving behavior and liberates owners from all responsibilities in third party claims, unless the vehicle presents safety problems known to the driver prior to the rental. This enables the driver's third party liability insurance to cover any property and third party liability claims.
Please note: The safety of our customers is Spagg Network's number one priority. Although Spagg takes several steps to make peer-to-peer car rental transactions as secure as traditional rentals and provides its members with advice and support in case of problems, it cannot take any responsibility for liabilities. Spagg advises its customers to take all precautions necessary to ensure their personal safety and the security of the transactions.
