The Spagg Network is part of the revolution in the Millenials' behavior towards cars. Join the network and help lead the movement!
We were all brought up in a world where car usage was a lot different than what it is today. Our parents used to have a very emotional relationship with their cars. The car for them was a symbol of status, power and wealth. It demonstrated to society your way of life. You could tell a lot about the goals of an individual based on the type of car they drove.
As we developed into present days, the place of cars in society changed dramatically. Today, nearly every American family has one, two, three cars or opted not to have one for good reasons. Cars are everywhere, and sometimes they are too many.
The generation currently in the universities and colleges today are called the Millennials. It is the most nurtured, intelligent and resourceful generation we ever had in history. The Millenials are discovering that, while we all love cars, we cannot sustainably maintain with our current car consumption behavior. The financial cost of a car is no longer the only aspect to consider. Environmental costs and cost of convenience (who likes to sit in traffic?) are also very important elements today. That's why we are increasingly substituting gas powered cars for hybrids and even EVs. We are also thinking twice about purchasing a car where mass transportation is an alternative. And whenever we do use cars, we are starting to feel a little guilty for driving. We are starting to make changes in our lives reduce emissions and improve the efficiency of our usage of cars by car pooling, car sharing and now renting out cars.
Let's face it: modern life is requiring a lot more of our college students these days than during our parents time! It is tough to be in college nowadays. You need a car to make your life easier and help you achieve your goals, not a time and money sink.
The Spagg Network is the newest element in this evolutional chain in attitude towards cars. It is a community of college students who have crossed the chasm of this behavioral change and have recognized what cars really are: machines that take us from point A to point B.
The students of the Spagg Network realized that, while they want to conserve the right to own a car, they don't need it all the time. They need a car to go out during weekends, but not go to classes. They need a car to travel with friends, but don't want the hassle of finding parking in campus. They want a car for the liberty to have fun out and about, but don't mind getting some money out of it when they're not driving it.
Moreover, the Spagg Network students are also environmentally conscious. 20% of the CO2 of a car's lifecycle is emitted in the manufacturing line, before even the engine turns for the first time. Every rental of a car already existing on the road helps prevent manufacturing additional cars in polluting industrial plants.
In order to have cars fulfill the needs of their modern life and help the world with its most important environmental challenges, the students of the Spagg Network are using modern technology to create the first secure online peer to peer car rental marketplace.
They are conscious. They are acting. The are leading the change. If you want to help us, join the Network!
