Prior to meeting with the renter for pick-up, there are a few things that you should do to better prepare your car for the rental
Cleanliness : You certainly don't need to wash your car before each rental, but please do keep it under 'reasonable' cleanliness state before a rental. It is OK to have dust on the vehicle here and there, but nobody likes to pay money to rent a car that is completely full of mud, smells bad and has food residue on the seats. Invest a little time on keeping your car clean and your renter feedback will be high.
Objects : Please take out your personal objects from the cabin and the trunk. It's OK to leave decorative stickers and inserts if they don't interfere with the driving visibility.
Documents : You will need to leave a copy of you vehicle registration in the glove compartment in case the renter gets stopped by the police (You should keep the original with you if possible).
Centralized alarms : Standard procedure here is to turn off any centralized alarms, keyless entry and remote starters if possible. They are tricky to operate if you don't know them well. You should keep things simple for your renter. If you have a remote separate from the car key, please remove it from the chain. After turning off the alarm, check that your vehicle can be securely closed and opened with the key only.
Vehicle safety : Owners are required to rent out a vehicle that is in safe operating condition to the best of their knowledge. Please review our vehicle safety checklist and call the Spagg Network in case of any problems.
Fluid levels : Please quickly check your fluid levels for radiator, oil, brakes and windshield washer.
