Car pickup and return meetings



Steps during a car pick-up
You will be renting your own car. You are expected to take the lead role during a car pick-up meeting. Spagg will provide you with all the assistance necessary to make the rental as easy as possible, but it is your responsibility to follow these steps during a car rental meeting.

Print out all of the materials in the reservation confirmation email. This checklist will be included.

Showing up on time is very important. This is a time-sensitive business. If your renter does not show up on time, call them to check on their estimated time of arrival.

Cordially greet your renter and check their driver's license. Pay attention to match the DL's picture to the person and the DL's name to the name on the rental contract.

Walk them through the rental contract. You both need to accept and sign to the terms and conditions.

Make a tour of the vehicle with the renter, noting all of the eventual blemishes, broken and missing parts in the vehicle. Also note the gas gauge and odometer on the appropriate space provided in the contract.

Explain the specific operations of the car to the renter, paying special attention to the operations of the lights and dashboard controls.

Sign the contract.

You are good to go. After you leave your vehicle with the renter, the Spagg Network will take care of all of the eventual servicing calls. If a renter calls you with a specific problem in the car, please direct them to the Spagg Network's hotline: 1-877-SPAGG-BUZZ, where they will be serviced by a trained specialist.



Steps during a car return
The car return procedures are similar to the pick-up. The car owners should take the lead through the following steps:

Bring all rental documents, specially the signed pick-up and the return check to fill out.

Be there on time. If the renter does not show up on time (within 15 minutes of meeting) call them to check their estimated time of arrival. If you can't reach the renter, call the Spagg Network.

Make a tour of the vehicle with the renter, noting down all of the differences with the state of the car during pick-up. Any differences should be marked on the return check. Gas and mileage are also important to note, as they will be used to calculate additional charges to the renter.

Fill-out the return check form completely and sign it. Have the renter sign it too. Any differences that you may want to bring up to the attention of the Spagg Network must be noted on the return check and signed by the renter.

Submit your report of differences by answering to the email you will receive from Spagg.

Feedback : After the rental is completed, you will receive an email with a request for feedback. Both renter and owner will have the opportunity to rate the transaction. It is important that you send Spagg feedback on how your transaction went. Important criteria are punctuality, Owner's service and quality of the car. We will also ask your feedback on Spagg's reservation services. Do not hesitate to let us know if your rental did not go as you had intended. Positive feedback is also appreciated!
